First Year Celebration 2017

On Wednesday 25th October First Year students, along with family and friends, celebrated the achievements of their first term not just as secondary school students, but as the first ever group of First Years at Tyndall College. A wonderful evening of music and stories marked this milestone in their lives as students spoke of their experiences, performed songs and were presented with school pins by principal Mr. McGill and year head Ms. Kennedy. Thato Rammusi and Clodagh O’Shea spoke eloquently about their journey so far and introduced a Day in the Life video – a snap-shot of what the year group have been up to since late August. Another special moment was when John Hanly and Leah Reddy outlined the Letters to Ourselves project that all students undertook in their tutor groups. Each student wrote a letter to themselves that was sealed and will be kept until the day of their Sixth Year graduation, when it will be presented to them to read and reminisce. Wishing all First Year students every success and happiness as they start their secondary school journey at Tyndall College.
