Tyndall Subbuteo Society

The Tyndall Subbuteo Society began last week with some of our Fifth Years learning the rules to demonstrate to First Years in the coming weeks. Mr. O’Boyle and Mr. Walsh would like to thank @subbuteocollector @subbuteo_NI and @subbuteoa for their advice and support. 
Our mentor group are adopting a teaching strategy known as Instructional Scaffolding which provides support to promote learning when concepts and skills are being first introduced to students. These supports may include resource, compelling task, templates and guides, and/or guidance on the development of cognitive and social skills. Instructional scaffolding is employed through modeling a task, giving advice, and/or providing coaching. 
There were excellent leadership and mentoring skills demonstrated by the Fifth Years as they coached the First Years. Well done lads, great job!
