Schools Partnership Programme – Tyndall College & Carlow County Council
Senior Executive Officer, Eamonn Brophy along with five key employees of Carlow County Council engaged in mock interviews with students from Tyndall College recently as part of their skills at work programme. The interviews were to give students the confidence and the real life experience in an interview situation.
Students were asked to go into detail about themselves, their work experience to date, educational qualifications, interests and hobbies and plans for their future. They gave students a great opportunity to sell themselves and gain hands on experience for the future. They also gave them valuable feedback after the interview so students could go away and brush up on some areas that needed work. The county council employees were very happy with the students and how they presented themselves. They commended their teachers Ms. O’Boyle and Ms. Tyrrell on all their work in preparing them for the interviews.
