Erasmus Plus Programme
On Thursday 27th May, 25 students took part in an online Erasmus Web Conference where they interacted with students from countries such as Macedonia, Germany, Portugal and Italy. The students from each country gave a presentation to everyone about their hometown or about their school.
The topic of the Erasmus Plus programme is ‘Finding Identity in Times of Social Media.’ 6 Tyndall College students connected with students from the different countries in breakout rooms and discussed various topics such as ‘Why is social media important? How many hours a day is spent on socials? and what concerns do you have about using social media?’ The students then presented the findings from their group back to the main group. It gave the students great insight into the similarities and differences on young people’s thoughts in the various countries.
The next web conference will be in September, and we hope that sometime in the next school year our students will be able to go and visit our partner countries and meet the other students in real life!
